Ontario's Insurance Risk Point
System
When you receive a traffic ticket it's not just the
fine and demerit points you should be concerned about,
but also how it will affect your insurance rates.
It will always be in your best interest to seek professional
advice regarding the possible consequences.
The table below shows how many insurance risk points
you will be assessed for each type of offence. The
insurance company will hold the conviction against
you for a minimum of three years. If you collect four
or more insurance points you will become eligible
for facility group insurance, this could increase
your insurance premiums from 100% - 400% !!

- No evidence of valid auto insurance
