- graduate of Economics and Politics from Trent
University
- graduate of Recreation Leadership from Fanshawe
College
- presided over Provincial Court, Criminal
Division in St. Catharines for eight years as
Justice of the Peace and served as Senior Justice
of the Peace
- purchased POINTTS franchise for the Niagara
Region in 1990
- Former Niagara College professor and Brock
University lecturer
- served on the Board of Directors for the
Sunshine Foundation (Niagara Chapter), John
Howard Society, United Way Fundraising Campaign,
and was a member of the Board of Governors
for the St. Catharines YMCA and was a past volunteer for
the Out of the Cold program
